Owen Hargreaves — Bayern Munich 2002-2006
Bayern Munich
Open profile: Owen HargreavesWieffer's midfield recovery and passing connect with Hargreaves's Bayern 2002–2006 phase. UEFA's April 2002 report describes Hargreaves containing Zidane before trying to start attacks. This is a protection-to-progression link, not a claim of identical roles throughout either career.
Unknown — a main difference has not been established yet.
A style reference for this phase, not a prediction of Mats Wieffer’s ceiling.
