By using Chief Scout, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language because nobody reads legalese — but they're still binding.

Chief Scout is a player intelligence platform for football professionals, analysts, and enthusiasts. You can use it to research players, compare profiles, and inform your scouting decisions.
You agree not to:
In short: use the product as intended. If you're building something cool with the data, talk to us first.
If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Use a strong password and don't share your login.
You must provide accurate information when signing up. One account per person — don't create multiple accounts to circumvent limits or bans.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice in serious cases.
Basic access to player profiles and public data. No payment required.
Paid subscriptions are billed via Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or annual). You can cancel at any time from your account settings — access continues until the end of your current billing period.
We handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis. If you're unhappy with the service, contact us and we'll try to make it right.
Player data displayed on Chief Scout is compiled from publicly available sources and licensed APIs. We don't claim ownership of raw football statistics — they belong to their respective providers.
Our methodology — the four-pillar assessment framework, role-fit scoring algorithms, personality profiling system, CS Value model, and archetype classification — is proprietary to Chief Scout. You may not reproduce, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from these systems.
Your content — if you submit any content (squad lists, notes, feedback), you retain ownership but grant us a licence to use it for improving the service.
Chief Scout is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep data accurate and the service running, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime or perfect data.
Player ratings, valuations, and assessments are editorial opinions informed by data — not financial advice, not guaranteed predictions. Don't bet your house on a CS Value figure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chief Scout is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
You can delete your account at any time. We can terminate or suspend your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service.
If we shut down Chief Scout (we hope not), we'll give reasonable notice and honour any remaining paid subscription periods.
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
