Spanish left-back with genuine attacking ambition in the half-spaces, capable of threading progressive passes into the final third from deep positions. His positioning is intelligent and his recovery pace adequate for Serie A, though he's no longer the explosive athlete he once was and can be exposed by direct runners down the flank. Reliable enough to be Roma's primary option on that side, but not the sort of defender who'll win you a Scudetto single-handedly.
