Dimo Krastev

Krastev Jr joined Fiorentina’s academy last year, quickly rising through the ranks. He first started playing for La Viola’s under-17 side but rapidly caught the eye of the former Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani, currently in charge of Fiorentina Under-19s. This August Krastev, whose preferred position is defensive midfield but can also play as a centre-back, won the Coppa Italia Primavera after Fiorentina beat Verona 1-0 in the final. Will have his heart and mind set on making his competitive debut this season in the cup or in the league. **September 2022 update** In May Krastev, who is now part of the Bulgaria Under-21 side, once again got his hands on the Coppa Italia Primavera trophy and was praised by his coach at Fiorentina, Alberto Aquilani. Could this be the year the youngster breaks into the senior side? **October 2023 update** A good 12 months. Recently joined Serie B side US Catanzaro on a season-long loan from Fiorentina’s Primavera and made his debut for Bulgaria’s senior side in November 2022.
