Technical midfielder with good close control and intelligence in possession, comfortable receiving the ball between the lines and moving it forward with a touch or pass. His athleticism is modest, however; he tires noticeably and cannot press aggressively or cover significant ground defensively. Works best as a rotational option in a patient, possession-dominant midfield rather than as a starter for a side needing physical intensity or athletic midfield dominance.
