Demba Ba — Newcastle United 2011-2013
Newcastle United
Open profile: Demba BaMateta recalls part of Demba Ba’s Newcastle game in 2011–13: a substantial central target who could move away from defenders and finish attacks rather than remain a static aerial outlet.
Ba also played from the left after Papiss Cissé arrived. This comparison is restricted to his central-forward work, not that wide deployment or his scoring rate.
A style reference for this phase, not a prediction of Jean-Phillipe Mateta’s ceiling.
